Prashar Lake

This lake lies 45 km north of Mandi, with a three storied pagoda like temple dedicated to the sage Prashar. The Lake is located at an height of 2730 m above sea level. With deep blue waters, the Lake is held sacred to the sage Prashar and he is regarded to have meditated here. Framed by snow-capped peaks and looking down on fast flowing river Beas, the Lake can be approached via Drang.

Every year in the month of June, famous traditional fair is held here. Several camping sites are also located here and it is the base for numerous easy & hard treks.

Barot

Barot is a picnic spot and tourist location in Mandi district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated 40 km from Jogindernagar and 66 km from Mandi, the district headquarters. The road to Barot branches off at Jogindernagar-Mandi high ways and from Jogindernagar the distance is 40 km. The route includes terraced fields and thick cedar forests, rising to Jhatingri at the hilltop.

The town has a range of outdoor activities, including a trout breeding centre from where fish are released into the Uhl.

Riwalsar

The natural lake at Rewalsar is famous for its floating reed islands and fishes. Hindu, Buddhist and Sikh shrines exist along the periphery of Lake.

Legend has it that the great teacher and scholar Padmasambhava used his enormous powers to take flight to Tibet from Rewalsar. It is believed that tiny islands of floating reed in Rewalser Lake have the spirit of Padamasabhava embodied in it. An imposing statue of Padamsambhava is also built in Rewalsar. At this place Sage Lomas is believed to have performed his penance to appease Lord Shiva.

Kamrunag

KAMRUNAG Situated at a height of 3,334 Mtr. Kamrunag is known for the lake and the temple besides the lake. View of Dhauladhar Range and Balh Valley adds to the scenic beauty of the spot where the lake and pent roof temple of Dev Kamrunag is surrounded by thick forests of deodar. As per tradition, Kamrunag is the King Yaksha of Mahabharta and was worshiped by Pandavas. There is a tradition of offering gold, silver and coins in the lake by devotees on the fulfillment of their wishes by Dev Kamrunag.

Shikari devi

Shikari Devi temple is about 18 Kms from Janjehli and connected by a jeepable Forest road. It is situated at an altitude of 3359 Mtr. Thick forests on the way to Shikari peak are amazing. Being the highest peak of Mandi District it is also called Crown of Mandi. Vast green pastures, captivating sunrise and sunset, panoramic view of snow ranges make this place favorite to nature lovers. The place receives a lot of snow during winters. The place can be approached from Karsog which is just 21 Kms from Shikari Devi. 

Dehnasar

Barot valley,(near Joginder Nagar). There are many routes from there but shorter one is via Lohardi village (6 km from barot). Then from there we went to Polling village (2 km), which is the last village connected through road. From Polling, there is 14km trek to reach the majestic lake.

Pandoh

Himachal Pradesh has been a popular retreat for generations of British officials, and later, scores of city-dwellers. Think of Himachal Pradesh and visualize luscious alpine forest, gigantic mountains and sparkling serene lakes. There are endless destinations in this vivacious land which tourist can’t afford to miss; one such place is Pandoh Lake. The deep blue lake is a delight for all the photographers.

Kheerganga

Kheerganga Trek (Khir Ganga), located at a height of about 2950 m, is one of the most well-known trekking destinations in Himachal Pradesh. Located deep in the Parvati Valley, Kheerganga presents to the trekkers a wealth of memorable experiences! Kheerganga’s history is said to date back thousands of years when it was Lord Shiva’s abode. The temperature at Kheerganga Trek varies across the seasons! The weather can get extremely cold in the winters, with snow covering the landscape in glittering snow. The temperature can go up to 26 degrees during the days in summers, .i.e., late in May or early June. However, the temperature in the winters hits negative and snowfall is common. The trekker can choose to undertake the trek at any time of the year as per his or her weather preference and the trek is an attractive prospect in all weathers, for all months, whether it be in December or in May.
